Welcome! I'm James Tharp, and helping people achieve their real estate goals is my passion. Since beginning my real estate career in 2005, I've been committed to providing exceptional service built on integrity, experience, and results. While a native of Johnston Iowa, my background in banking provides a strong foundation in home financing, lending, and market analysis, giving clients valuable insight throughout every transaction. I began my real estate career as Broker/Owner of one of South Dakota's leading real estate firms and later served as President of the South Dakota REALTORS® Association in 2012. I was honored as Huron Board of REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year in 2008, 2013, and 2014, and named the 2014 South Dakota State REALTOR® of the Year.

Throughout my career, I've served on local, state, and national REALTOR® committees, advocating for private property rights and homeownership. I'm also proud to have volunteered with organizations including Junior Achievement, Kiwanis, Lutheran Social Services, the Urbandale Public Arts Committee, and the NAMI Iowa Board of Directors.
